My talks

Here you can see some of the talks I gave in the past

I love giving talks at events! Some of them are even recorded and shared online. Here are a few of my favorites (though not all of them!).

Relevance is not a Thing but a Perception

When talking about relevance regarding search, it often sounds like it is a thing, something that can be touched and seen. Nevertheless, that is not the case. What do I mean by that? In this talk, I will provide some examples of how relevance is often merely seen as a score when it can be, in fact, an engaging relationship where the user and the search UI connect in aesthetic and enjoyable ways. I will present numerous examples of innovative search experiences that challenge prevailing schemas and structures and lead instead to elements of motion and correlated visual action that allows us to perceive the beauty of relevancy on a different level. Because relevance is a matter of perception.

A different way of thinking: non-technical introduction to DSLs

On this talk I explain how to solve a problem using a DSL. I also introduce the public about what a DSL is.

Ethics, Data, Experiences - Bridging the gap between innovation and responsibility

We claim that there is a gap between technical curiosity and ethical boundaries. Technically and intellectually, using statistical models to infer human behaviour poses interesting challenges. They can provide insightful inferences, and the fast-paced development leads to rapid increase in use-cases.

Self-Managed Components

After completing the [Self-Managed Components] project, I had the opportunity to present it during a LinkedIn Live session. First, I introduced the concept of SMC, focusing on its privacy aspects, and later, I did a live demo to showcase how it works.

By the way, did you notice the editing? That was all me! 😄

Interviews

I’m not just about giving talks at events—I can also be an interviewer! While this isn’t my first interview, it’s the one I prepared entirely from scratch for an event I organized alone, and I’m really proud of it. Everyone had a great time, and people even asked if I was a journalist because I seemed so professional! It was definitely a memorable day. 😊
